Marisol - Pit Bull Terrier and Hound Dog for Adoption in Austin, Minnesota

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Marisol came to the shelter on 9/27/2026 with her littermates, Maybellene and Merritt, after all three puppies were said to have been found as strays in a rural area in the middle of September. They all look to be pit bull mixes, maybe with other breeds like boxer and hound, and we're thinking they are around 3 months old. We will have a better idea of their approximate ages after they go to the vet on October 6th for their exams, rabies shots, and microchips. In addition to her rabies, Marisol will receive at least 2 distemper/parvo vaccinations, and her $150 adoption fee includes all of her vet work (microchip, shots, and spay surgery when old enough).

Marisol is a happy young dog, but she will need basic training in all areas. This requires a committed and patient home in which she won't be left alone for long hours. She should do well with other dogs and is young enough to learn to interact well with cats. Like her siblings, there's a good chance Marisol will grow up to be a large adult dog because of what her breed mix appears to be. Kids 5 and up would be best as she is still a puppy who has quite a bit to learn.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
