There are just so many great things about the Bball Litter! They are beautiful brindle babies. They are a wonderful blend of smooshy breeds. And they are BIG mutts!! DNA let us know they are a blend of bully and mastiff - with lots of other breeds mixed in... our favorite!
They were born March 2nd and at 5 weeks old, weighed in between 6-7#. DNA suggests they could be between 70-100#. Like we said, BIG mutts. There were 10 in the litter, born at a local shelter, and Save-A-Mutt split the litter with another local rescue. Now in a foster home, we are getting to know their individual personalities.
Southpaw is as sweet as pie. She loves people but has an adventurous side and likes to explore. She would be a great walking and hiking partner.
At the time of adoption, this puppy will be neutered, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age when they go home. They will need more puppy shots at 12 weeks, and at 16 weeks. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need LOTS of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, whine and cry, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot!
Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.
Save-A-Mutt may require a training contract and refundable deposit (depending on previous dog experience). You must be willing to start socializing and training as soon vaccinations are completed at 16 weeks. You pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit.
Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood. These puppies will be ready for homes April 29th at just over 8 weeks old. If you are planning on a vacation or have an issue that may delay your ability to pick up your puppy within a few days of approval, please let us know in advance.
Adoption fee is $525. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.
Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
