Meet Rocky! The cutest squishy faced boy whose entire personality is basically:
“OH MY GOSH A STICK!!!!”
This boy wakes up every single day absolutely THRILLED to exist. At around 5 years old, Rocky is pure goofy happiness wrapped up in a big squishy pittie/lab body. He approaches life with the enthusiasm of somebody who just discovered toys, water, sunshine, and outside activities for the very first time.
And honestly? Everything is his favorite thing ever.
Toys? Obsessed.
Squeakers? Incredible.
Balls? Life-changing.
Water? Spiritual experience.
Random piece of firewood he found outside? Actually the greatest treasure known to mankind.
This man literally picked up a giant chunk of firewood like he had personally hunted it himself and proudly carried it around with the biggest smile on his face. Watching Rocky discover objects outdoors is like watching a toddler at a museum. Every leaf, puddle, stick, and squirrel sighting is a groundbreaking event.
And WATER??? Oh my gosh.
Rocky LOVES water. Splashing in it, running through it, swimming in it, stomping through puddles like a giant happy toddler, this boy is absolutely living his best life anytime water is involved. He would make the ultimate beach dog, lake buddy, hiking companion, camping sidekick, or backyard sprinkler enthusiast. If your dream dog is one that joyfully launches himself into every outdoor adventure with full-body excitement, Rocky is your guy.
And despite all his goofy playful energy, he is SUCH a sweetheart. Rocky absolutely adores people and turns into a wiggly noodle for affection. His favorite thing ever might honestly be booty scratches. The SECOND you scratch his butt, his entire body starts folding in half with giant wiggles like he physically cannot contain his happiness. It’s honestly impossible not to laugh around him because he’s just SO dramatically joyful about everything. Another Rocky trademark is the “I’m going to lean all my body weight into you now.” kind of love. He is truly the best of both worlds, playful but cuddly.

With other dogs, Rocky is more of a “parallel play” kind of guy. He likes goofy, friendly dogs who can hang out nearby, romp around outside, and exist together without constantly invading his personal bubble. He’s not looking for wrestlemania or pushy in-your-face dogs, he prefers easygoing, socially smart buddies who understand vibes and personal space. During his assessment, he did really well with calm confident dogs that let him enjoy toys, water, and adventures in peace. If you have a furry friend and want to see if Rocky would be a good match, our trainers will help talk it out with you!
Rocky would absolutely thrive in a home with a yard because being outdoors is clearly his happy place. He loves sunbathing, exploring, sniffing around, squirrel watching, carrying giant sticks around like trophies, and generally acting like a retired camp counselor. Apartment life really wouldn’t be ideal for him, this boy wants room to roam and enjoy the outdoors.
He hasn’t officially been kid-tested yet, but because he can get bouncy when excited, we’d likely lean toward older respectful kiddos. We’re always happy to kid-test him for interested adopters!
Honestly, Rocky feels like the kind of dog who turns ordinary days into adventures. He’s goofy, affectionate, outdoorsy, hilarious, and SO full of life. He’s the dog you take hiking and somehow end up laughing at the entire time because he’s proudly carrying a log twice the size of his head through a creek like it’s the greatest accomplishment of his life.
And honestly?
To Rocky… it probably is.
