Thor is a two-year-old chocolate and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a sleek, rich brown coat, warm brown eyes, and a smile that is pure sunshine. He arrived at Cobb Animal Services on May 20th and has already made an impression on everyone who has met him. At 44.8 lbs he is a solid, athletic, beautifully built boy with a presence that commands attention and a personality that wins hearts.

Thor is sweet, playful, and very nice to be around. He already knows sit and lay down, which is a wonderful foundation for a two-year-old dog, and speaks to how eager he is to connect and communicate with the people around him. On leash he pulls with some enthusiasm — but anyone who has ever watched a dog burst through a door toward fresh air and open space knows exactly what that is. For a dog who spends most of his day cooped up in a kennel, the excitement of getting outside is completely understandable. It is pure joy, and with consistent positive reinforcement and the freedom of a real home routine, it will settle beautifully.
