DESCRIPTION
Meet Giovanni! Gio was seized from a cruelty case so he's still learning how to "dog." They had a few dogs and all were very scared at the shelter. Giovanni was quite shut down... when we got him, it took him a few more weeks to come around and trust us.
Now that he's been with us for a few months, we've seen his true personality blossom. He's a sweet dog, with some quirks of course- most rescue dogs arent perfect. He dances for food and treats, asks to go potty outside or will use pads if needed. He should go to a home thats familiar with nervous dogs, or one prepared to give him a little extra time for adjustment. He would do best in a home with another dog, preferably a younger submissive dog as he can be a bit of a dominant male. We would love a fenced yard for him, but we feel with the right family and patience he could learn to walk on a leash outside.
The Papillon is a small, elegant breed known for its distinctive butterfly like ears and dainty appearance.
