Minnie - NY - Papillon and Dachshund Dog for Adoption in Bryan, Texas

Senior papillon/doxie MINNIE has made such progress! She came to our rescue morbidly obese, to the point that she would get winded just getting in and out of her dog bed. We have worked REALLY hard to get her to slim down in this short period, but we are seeing huge changes!

She still gets winded, but she went from almost immobile to walking short distances, to doing little happy feet hops at dinner time, to trotting, to full on spins! She gets VERY excited for suppertime and has even started being able to get herself up the porch steps!! We had to carry her in and out to potty at the beginning, so we are so happy seeing her quality of life improve. She still battles vaginitis, because she's too big to properly clean herself, but we will keep working on it!!

Minnie is a fabulously easy dog to love.... she gets along well with kids and other pets, doesn't bark, and is 100% potty trained. ACTUALLY 100%!!! Zero potty accidents since day one.

We love seeing her breathe new life and spin around with joy, but it's time she leaves the nest. We are ready for her to get adopted!!
