DESCRIPTION
Hi, I'm Dixie! I'm a 1.5-year-old Newfoundland and Black Lab mix weighing around 76 pounds. I'm a big, goofy, and super affectionate girl who loves everyone I meet!
I am already very housetrained, walk nicely on a leash, and do great in the car! I'm also amazing with kids. When it comes to meeting other dogs, I'm polite and never an "in-your-face" kind of girl. I prefer to introduce myself slowly, and I've done really well with the other dogs I've met here!
I'm also good with cats! One of the staff members here took me home for a sleepover at her house, and she has a LOT of cats. I did try to play with them (which might get me into a little trouble if a cat isn't in the mood to play!), though I was never aggressive with them at all. Best of all, I showed off my great recall! Whenever she called my name, I would immediately stop and lay right down.
I'm spayed, microchipped, up to date on my shots, and tested negative for heartworm.
I have so much love to give and can't wait to find a family of my own. Come meet me soon!
