Meet Kyra

Kyra is a soft-hearted, lovely young girl who has already shown us so much about who she is: gentle, resilient, affectionate, and quietly brave.

After being found alone and frightened, Kyra is now safe in foster care and learning that the world can be kind. And goodness, is she blooming. Even in busy, unfamiliar surroundings, Kyra has shown herself to be calm, poised, and wonderfully well behaved. She has a steady sweetness about her — the kind that makes you pause and say, “There's something special about this girl.”

Kyra is house trained, does well with other dogs, and has lived with a human foster brother. She enjoys playtime and has a fun, happy side, but her true magic may be in the way she loves. Kyra is a snuggler through and through — tender, affectionate, and happiest when she can be close to her people.

Kyra is now growing up in rescue, and what she needs most is a family of her own. Because she is still building confidence, she will do best in a calm, patient home with gentle adults and older children who understand that trust is something beautiful when it's allowed to unfold naturally.

You must be at least 25 and live within a 5-hour driving radius of Thompson PA. We check veterinary references and require all pets within the home to be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and maintained on heartworm and flea & tick preventatives.

While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity.
