Ozzy and his sister Opal came to our rescue as owner surrenders. Born on Dec. 29, 2025, he was part of a litter of four pups. Unfortunately, one of the pups didn't survive and the owners elected to keep one of the pups. With the help of Fix GA Pets and the Shamrock Animal Welfare League of Laurens Co, her former owners had their mother spay.
While he may seem a little shy at first, Ozzy will quickly show you just how playful and affectionate he can be. He loves playing with other pups and even adult dogs and should make a great companion for an existing dog in your home.
Ozzy has already received all three of his first year "puppy" vaccines, been de-wormed and treated against parasites on multiple occasions and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His adopter must agree to having Ozzy neutered once he reaches 6 months old and providing verification of such to our rescue. He will need additional house training.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
