DESCRIPTION
Meet Willa!
Willa came into our care through our partnership with local animal control. She was found as a shut-down stray on the side of a lonely country road. Within a couple of hours in her foster home, she had melted into a full-on snuggle bug! That speed of trust says everything about who she is, as she's the kind of dog who meets the world with curiosity and her tail wagging.
In the home, Willa is an absolute love nugget. She's a big fan of forehead kisses, booty pats, and being the little spoon and she'll happily squish herself into your lap whenever possible. She's got a goofy spin move she busts out mid-play, a habit of dramatically kicking out her back legs when she settles in, and her foster describes her sweet-as-pie disposition as totally endearing. She loves romping with the other dogs in her foster home, cuddling with her foster's cat for grooming sessions, going on nature walks and hikes, and rolling in the snow like it's the best day of her life.
Willa is still working on some basics; she's learning her name, practicing "off," and getting the hang of loose-leash walking and she'd do best with a dog-savvy adopter who can help her keep building confidence through positive reinforcement training. If you're looking for a dog who will be your constant canine companion, Willa is more than ready to be your new best friend!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
