DESCRIPTION

Meet Koozie!

Koozie is a bright, bubbly, brindle boxer babe with a lot of love to give and a personality that will keep you on your toes in the best way! She came to us from a home where she was clearly cherished but when her guardian began struggling with their health, Koozie came into our care, and she's been winning hearts ever since!

She's the kind of dog who can run full sprints in the yard doing spin moves one minute and melt into the couch for cuddles the next. She does best with consistent exercise and engagement, so a home where someone is around regularly or can take her on adventures will help her thrive. People are absolutely her favorite thing, she may need a moment to say hello on her own terms, but once she does, she greets with pure enthusiasm and bouncy, wiggly wonder.

Koozie loves squeaky toys, stuffed animals, and collagen chews, and she has a fun habit of parading past you with her latest prized possession. She also loves a good car ride with the window cracked. She hasn't had much exposure to leash walking yet, so that'll be a learning curve but she picks things up fast and responds well to positive reinforcement training. If you're looking for a spirited, silly and sweet dog with a big personality and lots of love to give, Koozie might just be your new best friend.

House trained and crate trained
Loves people, car rides, squeaky toys, and a good couch cuddle
New to leash walking - will need patience and consistent training

Dogs: Koozie is dog social and may do well with another dog who doesn't mind a high-energy housemate. We are happy to arrange a dog introduction at HSCC if you have a resident canine looking for a friend.
Cats: Koozie is looking for a home without cats, as feline friends may find her enthusiasm overwhelming.
Children: Young kids would likely be too much stimulation for Koozie, but she may tolerate older, respectful children.
