Meet Winston
Winston’s story started when this sweet little guy was found curled up asleep on a family’s porch, covered in fleas, ticks, and dirt and absolutely starving.
Thankfully, Winnie picked the right porch.
The family immediately took him in, cleaned him up, gave him a warm place to rest, filled his belly, provided much-needed medications, and showered him with love. Winnie even tagged along for farm chores—and apparently decided pretty quickly that he had no plans of leaving.
Another dog simply wasn’t in the cards for their family, but they were determined to make sure this little guy ended up somewhere safe. They contacted us and drove quite a distance to get him into rescue.
And just like that Winston became a Kind Paws pup.
Winnie is estimated to be around 3 months old, and as for his breed? Your guess is as good as ours! But whatever his mix is, it created one pretty incredible puppy.
Super smart — He may not have much experience living inside, but he is learning incredibly quickly.
Potty-training superstar — Since arriving in his foster home, he has only gone potty outside!
Amazing with kids — Winston absolutely loves the kids in his foster home.
Learning about dog friends — He’s still a little unsure of the resident dogs, but he has been incredibly respectful of every boundary they’ve set.
Total social butterfly— Winnie doesn’t believe in strangers. He loves meeting people and soaking up attention.
Sweet and gentle — He even has the gentlest little puppy nibbles.
For a puppy who showed up hungry, dirty, and alone, Winnie has already shown us just how resilient and special he is.
While he waits for his forever family, he’ll be busy experiencing all the things a puppy should—new foods, toys, people, dog friends, adventures, and plenty of love. He’ll have a warm bed, a full belly, and more snuggles than he knows what to do with.
We promised Winnie that the days of wondering where he belongs are over. Now we just have to find the family who will make sure he never has to wonder again.
