Meet Alice!

Alice is a beautiful 3-year-old, 40-lb Cunucu girl originally from Aruba. She came to the U.S. as a tiny puppy and has been with her family since she was about 3 months old. She has grown up with children and has been a loved family dog her entire life.

I recently had the chance to meet Alice myself, and she completely won me over. She was a little unsure of me for about 20 seconds — and then she was on her back asking for belly rubs! She is sweet, affectionate, playful and has a wonderfully goofy personality.

At home, Alice loves toys, belly rubs, zoomies and relaxing in her favorite bed. She is fully house trained, rides well in the car, and knows commands including climb and stay. She is spayed, healthy and up to date on her vaccinations.

Alice absolutely loves other dogs. She would be thrilled to have a compatible canine friend to run and play with. Introductions with new dogs are best done off leash in a safe, securely fenced area. Alice can become anxious and reactive when she encounters other dogs while on leash, but once the leash is out of the equation and introductions are handled appropriately, she genuinely enjoys canine companionship.

Alice has lived with children since she was a puppy and does well with them. Very large, busy gatherings — think a house full of excited young kids at a birthday party — can be a little overwhelming for her, so she appreciates having a quieter place to retreat when things get hectic.

Why is Alice looking for a new home?

Her family loves her, but their circumstances no longer allow them to give Alice the time, exercise and activity she needs. At just 3 years old, she is an active young dog who is happiest when she can run, play, explore and be included in daily life.

Alices ideal home would have a securely fenced yard and perhaps another friendly dog looking for a zoomie partner. Another dog isnt a requirement, though. An active person or family with the time to exercise her, hike with her, play with her and give her the attention she deserves could be a wonderful fit.
Alice has spent virtually her entire life as part of a family. We're hoping to find her another one where she can settle in, be loved and stay for the rest of her life.
