SHILOH ~ Sweetest Senior Girl!! - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Rochester, Indiana

Meet Shiloh!

Shiloh is estimated to be at least 10+ years old. She is the SWEETEST senior girl!

She is a mixed breed dog and weighs in at 62.



Shiloh came to us after her owner was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer care for her.

She was well loved and cared for. Shiloh is a gentle lady and gets along with other dogs and cats as well.

Shiloh is likely also fine with kids, as her demeanor is good and she is friendly with everyone she meets!



We have noticed that Shiloh may be deaf or have very limited hearing. She seems to be able to sleep through all the other dogs that are barking randomly throughout the day, and we sometimes have to walk out to her in the yard at potty time to get her to come back in, if she doesn't see us first!



Shiloh's new family will need to be cautious when letting her out to go potty, as she will not recall when you yell out her name, since she cannot hear well! A fenced in yard, leash walking anytime she is outside or a secure tieout are highly recommended to keep her safe.



She has also most definitely has had chronic ear infections throughout her life, as she has visible thickened ear flaps and ear canals. This further backs up our thoughts on her not being able to hear!



Spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines and monthly prevention. Adopt fee is $80 or $0 for those 60 years old and better, with our Senior to Senior Program!

Once submitted, staff will review your application during open hours. Please allow 24-36 hours for a response. If approved, we will contact you to schedule a meet & greet! Any other dogs in the home must come along and some dogs may require all family members to come as well! If it's a match, you can your new dog home the same day.

We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!
