Meet Roxy, an energetic little 10-month-old that had been kept crated in an apartment before fosters Angélique and Yan picked her up. After never even having gone outside, Roxy sure is enjoying her newfound freedom!

Roxy was born in November 2025, weighs 14 pounds, and not likely to get a whole lot bigger. Her mix is unknown, but she has the appearance of a wee Lab in a Dachshund body. Roxy’s fosters describe her as a quick learner and super affectionate. Following foster brother Buck’s lead, she has already learned to do her business outside but will also use a pee pad for emergencies. Roxy is not a big barker and can be left loose in the house when her people are at work. She’s got a spot on the big bed at night (she doesn’t take up much room) and in addition to Buck, Roxy also gets along well with the foster’s cat. She got a clean bill of health at her recent vet exam and will be going back soon for her spay and microchip.

Roxy’s ideal adopter will be an active single, couple or family in a house with a fenced yard. She loves to run free and be outdoors, and it’s no wonder after how she spent the first nine months of her life. Roxy has been in foster care for five weeks and has adapted very well to her new lifestyle. She’s still a little shy when first meeting new people but soon warms up.
