Like a character emerging from the pages of a coming-of-age novel, I am Pepper, a spirited girl learning to trust the world around me. My former owner described me as shy and anxious at first, but those who take time to know me discover a playful, loving, and deeply loyal companion. I am intelligent and eager to please, having mastered commands like sit, down, and stay. I absolutely adore fetch, spirited runs, herding balls, and squeaky toys that squeak with delight. What I crave most is space to roam, a big yard where I can leap and bound freely, and endless petting and affection from someone who will become my person. I thrive on treats and respond beautifully to positive motivation, making training an adventure we can embark on together. My story so far has taught me that with patience and gentle consistency, I blossom into the most devoted friend you could ask for. I warm up slowly to new people, but once you have earned my trust, I will love you fiercely and stick by your side through every chapter. I am housetrained and do wonderfully with a routine that helps me succeed.
