During a recent break from her kennel, she spent some time hanging out in an office where she truly blossomed. She melted into neck and ear scratches. Katarah is already a pro on the leash. She is very food-motivated, which is great for training-though she can be a little "snatchy" with treats, so she prefers they be offered on an open palm. Because she can sometimes be a bit sensitive or fearful in high-stress situations, she would do best in a home with children aged 10 and older who can respect her boundaries as she settles in.

Behavioral Notes

Kennel Presentation: At the front of her side bank, ears back, low tail wags, soft wider eyes. Took a treat a little snatchy through the bars.

Leash Skills: Easy to leash and came right out. Pulls mildly on leash, ears back, low loose tail.

Sociability: In the yard, sniffing around, low tail, ears back. Would come over when I called to her, ears back, low tail wags. Eating on and off outside. When handling, low still tail, ears back, closed mouth, would sometimes move away when I stopped, other times stayed nearby. We went inside as it was raining while waiting for her kennel to be cleaned hung out in the office. Loose body, ears to the side, soft eyes, low loose wagging tail. Would come over when I called to her with the same body language and jumped up on my lap. Allowed all handling and started melting into neck/ear pets. Very food motivated and took treats a little snatchy so open palm is best.

Play: No interest in the toys offered.

Dog Interaction: n/a

Return to Kennel: Walked back low tail wags, ears back, pulling mildly. Stopped outside her kennel, tossed in a treat and she went right in, leash removed easily by hand.
