Gracie - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
GRACIE
Mixed Breed

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
July 9th
female, medium, adult
DESCRIPTION
This beautiful lady Gracie is a sweet, sensitive soul who's ready to give (and receive!) all of the love a foster or forever family has to offer!
After spending about six wonderful years with her previous family, Gracie recently found herself back in the shelter after they had to make the difficult decision to surrender her due to an out of state move that they couldn't bring her along for. They described her as a "shy but very loving, gentle dog" who absolutely adores pets and would happily claim the title of one of the sweetest 45-pound lap dogs around!
Gracie has already proven herself to be a truly amazing family companion. She's lived successfully with people of all ages (having a special fondness for children), and has also done well with dogs and cats, enjoying playtime with other four-legged friends who can match her energy. And she may have also even spent some time around horses!
At home Gracie is reportedly already house trained, has experience being in a crate, knows some basic commands, and when adventure calls, she previously enjoyed tagging along on bike rides and jogging alongside her family. While Gracie may be a little shy at first, she has so much love to give to the people lucky enough to earn her trust. With a little patience and kindness, you'll discover a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be close to her people.
Whether you're looking to foster a deserving dog or searching for your next best friend, Gracie is hoping someone will give her the fresh start she deserves. She has already spent years being a beloved member of a family, and Gracie is ready for her next chapter with you!
------------------------------------
This dog is considered a mixed breed because it's not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
