Rocky Balboa - Mixed Breed Dog Available for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Yo, Adrian! Rocky Balboa is ready for his comeback story, and like his famous namesake, behind that strong, handsome face of his a sweet and sensitive guy.

Rocky recently found himself looking for a fresh start when his longtime owner was no longer able to care for him. Since December, he has been lovingly looked after by his owner's elderly mother, but she made the difficult decision to help him find a new home where he can get all the adventures, walks, and attention he deserves.

According to his caretaker, Rocky is incredibly friendly and will "kiss you to death" if given the chance. He's a certified people-lover who enjoys being spoiled with affection, and one of his favorite activities is sitting next to you, tail wagging away, while you pet his head and remind him what a good boy he is. (As if he could ever forget!) At home, Rocky is described an easygoing housemate, and has experience being left free-roaming when alone and reportedly does very well, spending his time waiting for his people to return so he welcome them home.

Rocky also lived with another dog in that home and the two of them enjoyed playing together, especially a good game of tug. And while Rocky hasn't had extensive exposure to lots of other animals to our knowledge, he generally seems interested and social when he sees them, often greeting them with a wagging tail and occasionally a bark to say hello.

Because his caretaker hasn't been able to walk him regularly, Rocky has mostly been enjoying quick bathroom breaks outside these past few months. But before that, he reportedly did well on leash and was a fun walking buddy.
