Meet Teddy!

Teddy's story hasn't always been an easy one, but through it all, he has remained incredibly sweet, gentle, and full of love. This handsome boy is learning that people can be kind and that pets, cuddles, and companionship are some of life's greatest joys.

With his soft, fluffy coat and goofy smile, Teddy is impossible not to adore. Once he trusts you, he'll become your loyal little shadow, happily following you from room to room and always wanting to be nearby. While he's not the type to climb into your lap on his own, he's happy to be picked up for snuggles and enjoys sharing quiet moments with his favorite person.

Teddy is a wonderfully well-mannered companion, and has been a great house guest in his foster home! He is fully potty trained, crate trained, non-destructive, and does not struggle with separation anxiety. At bedtime, he happily trots into his crate and sleeps peacefully through the night. His favorite activity is going for walks, where he strolls politely by your side without pulling on the leash. When he's not out exploring, Teddy is a low-key guy who enjoys long naps on the sofa or curled up beside you on the bed.

Because of his difficult past, Teddy can be fearful of new people and unfamiliar situations. Visitors to the home may be greeted with nervous barking, and he tends to be shy and cautious when meeting people outside of his comfort zone. He also takes a daily anxiety medication to help him continue building confidence. Having a safe space (usually a cozy spot on the couch( helps Teddy feel secure when he needs a break from the world.

Teddy is looking for a quiet, adult-only home with a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. He thrives with routine, gentle encouragement, and someone willing to let him move at his own pace. In return, you'll gain a devoted companion whose love, once earned, is truly special.
