My foster writes: Meet Mama Coco! This sweet girl has the gentlest soul and loves nothing more than being close to her people. She's happiest relaxing by your side, soaking up attention, and enjoying a peaceful home. Mama Coco is incredibly loving and has so much affection to give to the right family. With a little patience while she settles in, she's sure to become a loyal, devoted companion. If you're looking for a calm, cuddly best friend, Mama Coco can't wait to meet you!
What my friends at ACC say about me:
I have lived with dogs in my previous home.
I would do best in a home with only adult humans.
I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
A Volunteer Wrote: I'd seen the photos and the videos and heard the pleas from fellow volunteers about this dog, but no one thought to mention to me that she wins Best Hugger in the Shelter, hands down! My heart absolutely melted when we got into the elevator and she oh-so-gently stood up on her back legs and leaned into my chest. A shy, dear girl who lived with dogs in her previous home, Mama Coco doesn't have the temperament for a loud, crowded shelter, all the sadder because we see how little she requires to feel loved and safe! If it takes the span of an elevator ride one floor to open up and express her gratitude, imagine what your love and home could do for her within hours. Please come meet her!
My Boroughbreaker writes: Mama Coco really knows how to enjoy a day out and about in New York City! She's down for an endless stroll in the park, basking in the sun, and enjoying the breeze under a tree in the warmer hours of the day. She's the gentlest treat taker, courteously grabbing it with her front little teeth (which are the cutest!). Puppiccino at Starbucks is a mandatory supply to recharge and off she goes again prancing down the east river esplanade turning heads and tails. Mama Coco is super chill around other dogs as long as they don't start any beef, but she's also moves on quickly as soon as redirected! She's a lap dog at heart and she will gladly rest on you if invited to do so. Mama Coco has also stellar leash manners! Primary Color: Tan Weight: 39.5lbs Age: 3yrs 2mths 2wks Animal has been Spayed
