DESCRIPTION
Ghost arrived at MACC as an owner surrender. His previous owner describes him as affectionate and independent. While in care, Ghost has been observed to be highly fearful. Noted to show whale eye and growl when handled. During his assessment, he did not allow handling and would freeze when handlers attempted to interact with him. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an experienced adult only home.
A staff member writes: Ghost is a sweet, gentle pup who loves spending time with people he knows and trusts. He greets familiar faces with a wagging tail, enjoys pets and treats, and is always ready for a chance to stretch his legs. Outside, he walks nicely on leash with only mild pulling and loves to zoom around the yard before checking in with his handlers. Ghost can be a little sensitive to sudden noises or fast movements, so he'll thrive with a patient adopter who can help him continue building confidence. He's also participated in dog introductions and playgroups, making him a great candidate for slow introductions to canine friends. If you're looking for a kind-hearted companion to grow with, Ghost may be your perfect match. Primary Color: Black Weight: 68.5lbs Age: 2yrs 2mths 3wks
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
