Buck - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Myerstown, Pennsylvania

Meet Buck!

Buck is a handsome Mixed Breed fella estimated to be around 1 year old and weighing 35 pounds. He found his way to us as a stray and was never reclaimed. Now, Buck is ready to find a forever family to call his own!

Buck is a friendly guy who enjoys meeting new friends! Fun fact: he has an adorable little nub tail! Buck loves getting out for walks where he can sniff, explore, and investigate all the interesting sights and smells. He can occasionally get a little sidetracked by the opportunity to sniff up a tree and check for squirrels! While the kennel environment can make him a bit nervous, he becomes much more comfortable once he is outside. Buck has a nice balance of independence and affection, enjoying time with his human friends while also being content doing his own thing. And if you hear a hound-like bark, it might just be Buck letting you know what he's thinking! This vocal fella isn't afraid to use his voice!

Buck has the potential to live with another dog and warmed up nicely to a fellow shelter pup! Having a confident, friendly canine companion may help him feel more comfortable as he adjusts to life in his new home, though he could also do well as the only dog. A meet-and-greet with any dogs in the home will take place at the shelter to help ensure a good match. No feline friends for Buck, please! He would do well in a home with kiddos aged 8 and older.

If this spunky, nub-tailed guy sounds like the perfect addition to your family, apply to adopt Buck today!

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
