DESCRIPTION

Meet Hatchi, a 30-pound chow–shiba mix with a heart as big as his fluffy frame. If you’re looking for a dog who lives for connection but doesn’t need constant hovering, Hatchi strikes that perfect balance.

He’s a total cuddle bug who absolutely adores people and soaks up affection any chance he gets. Whether he’s leaning into you for pets or stretched out in a sunny spot, Hatchi is happiest when he’s close to his person and feeling safe.

Hatchi is also very independent, making him an easy companion for someone who appreciates a dog that can relax on his own but still deeply enjoys human connection.

He does have some mobility challenges and will need regular physical therapy to keep him feeling his best, so a home without stairs is important for his comfort and safety. Hatchi is also partially blind, which means he can startle easily—especially around other dogs. While he does generally do well with them, he may react if frightened, so a calm environment and mindful introductions will help him thrive.

What Hatchi needs most is a patient, understanding home that will give him the support he needs and the love he deserves. In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate companion who will happily spend his days by your side—especially if there’s a sunny spot involved.

All potential Forever Fosters must reside within 100 miles of Mt Juliet, TN. All Forever Fosters dogs receive medical care at our facility at no cost to the foster. To fill out a Forever Foster application, please visit our website at ofsds.org

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
