NO EXCEPTIONS.
Housebroken: Puppy progress. No accidents in her crate. Great on a schedule. Chooses a pee pad in the house if she doesn't get outside. Is learning to go to the door to alert to go out.
Crate trained: Yes. Sleeps quietly through the night. Does well in the crate but can tear up bed or other items out of boredom.
Good in car: yes on someone's lap. Whines a little in the crate.
Good on leash: Yes. Loves to walk and meet people and explore. Pulls some but at 7.5 pounds it's hard to notice.
Energy level: Medium high. She will retrieve balls and loves to play. Also loves to be trained and have one on one attention to learn tricks. Mental exercise will help her be her best self.
Need a fenced in yard: no but she would love one.
Dog friendly: yes she wants to play. She seems to ignore the grumpy dog as long as she has other activities going on.
If yes, does your foster need another dog in it's adoptive home: no but she would be happy with a playmate.
Cat friendly: Yes. She did chase cats at first but then left them alone. I think Annie can be taught to treat things as you want them to be treated.
Kid Friendly: She is a puppy and still has sharp little teeth and she is small so rough handling could hurt her. With supervision I think she would be fine with any age.
Special traits: Annie is petite mix with a lot of personality and might not know she is small dog. She is very observant and likes stimulation or noises and birds and anything that she can study and learn. She will do best with someone who wants to spend time with mental activities and training. She loves to meet new people and other dogs. She isn't a quiet dog as she likes to try to communicate and also train her owners.
Foster's Location: Bethany Beach, DE
Important Information About Puppies:
Puppies need to be let out for potty breaks approximately every 4 hours. If there isn't someone home during the day, then you will need a plan to make sure they get a mid-day break.
Puppies are blank slates and require training, including housebreaking. Adopters need to be prepared to provide this training along with appropriate socialization to help give them the best chance at becoming well-behaved and happy grown dogs.
Puppies should always be supervised when interacting with children and other animals. Puppies are fragile and a mishap could be fatal for them. They are also teething and getting to know their world, and boundaries, with their mouth. They have to be taught what appropriate chew toys are.
