Shep - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Midland, Michigan

Neutered Male
7 Years Old
57 Pounds
$75

Shep is a 7-year-old, neutered gentleman who proves that age is just a number! This handsome brown mixed-breed boy is a total sweetheart with a fun, wiggly personality and plenty of love to share.

Shep is good with other dogs, crate trained, and housebroken, making him a great starting point for a new family. He absolutely loves attention and gets so excited to be around people that he may bounce around and jump up to say hello! He's got lots of enthusiasm for life and isn't afraid to show it.

Shep does pull on the leash, so he'll benefit from some continued leash manners practice to help make walks more enjoyable for everyone. But with his happy-go-lucky spirit and affectionate nature, he's sure to keep his people smiling!

If you're looking for a sweet, energetic older guy who will happily wiggle his way right into your heart, Shep might just be your perfect match!

At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals!
We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
