Calamity Jane: Mixed Breed Female 9 months old 23 lbs

Don't let the name fool you — this girl is anything but trouble! Calamity Janeis a striking white, brown, and black mixed breed puppy with a heart full of love and a personality that's already winning everyone over.

Jane's start in life wasn't easy — she was found abandoned on the side of the road, having suffered abuse. When she first arrived in foster care, it took her about two weeks to relax and come out of her shell. But look at her now! She's blossomed into a sweet, fun-loving dog who's ready for her happily ever after.

Jane has a ton of personality packed into her 23 pounds. She loves playing, running, and going on walks — twice a day, plus playtime with a doggy companion. She catches on quickly when learning new things. She already knows sit, come here, no, and go potty with hand signals, and she's currently working on stay. She's also picking up leash walking fast, even though she'd never worn one before coming into foster care.

Jane has been in a foster home in the South since April. According to her foster, "Jane will fit in anywhere." She'd love a family who enjoys walks, backyard playtime, and giving her lots of attention. She gets along beautifully with other dogs, people, and cats alike. As her foster puts it: this sweet girl with a ton of personality is going to make someone very lucky. She's smart, resilient, and just waiting for someone to love her the way she deserves.

If you wish to adopt our dogs, please complete an online APPLICATION. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.

All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered.
Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee.
Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements.

Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs.
Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors.
Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.

Also, please note our open houses which occur most every week at foreverhomerescue.org. You can see when we are open and also which dogs will be at each open house. Dogs marked 'out of town' will not usually be at open houses until they are local.
