MAGGEI: Shepherd Mix Female 1 1/2 years old, 40 lbs

Maggie, is a sweet tan and white Shepherd mix looking for her forever home! Maggie came to rescue as a stray and has spent the last 3 months blossoming in her foster home — she settled in beautifully, taking only 2 days to adjust with zero transitional issues.
She is smart, loving, and gentle, Maggie is a medium-energy girl who loves her daily walks and genuinely enjoys hanging out with her people. She walks nicely on leash and is working on the finer points of house training, but she's already shown she's an eager learner.

Maggie is comfortable living both inside and outside, though she does best with plenty of inside time with her family. She is great with kids — has experience with children over 10 years old She gets along well with other dogs, and has not been cat tested.

Maggie would thrive with a family who enjoys walks, outings, and quality time together. She's looking for people who can keep her active with long daily walks and include her in day-to-day life.

If you wish to adopt our dogs, please complete an online APPLICATION. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.

All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered.
Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee.
Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements.

Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs.
Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors.
Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.

Also, please note our open houses which occur most every week at foreverhomerescue.org. You can see when we are open and also which dogs will be at each open house. Dogs marked 'out of town' will not usually be at open houses until they are local.
