Teddy escaped from a foster shortly after transport and was lost around East Bristol for 33 days! He is only 7 lbs and a very gentle soul; it's amazing he pulled through. From a lot of volunteer effort, he was eventually trapped and then came to a new foster home.
He's adapted really well to his foster home in just a few weeks and is loving being part of a pack of 6 little dogs + 2 cats. He loves to snuggle in bed and he gets very excited for meal and treat time.
He loves running out in front of everyone to get outside first. He's his foster mom's little shadow around the house, but he's starting to be brave enough to leave her sight a bit in the fenced yard. He has excellent recall in the house and outside.
The first couple of days, he had a harness + leash + gps collar in his fenced yard and he just went for his very first walk (double leashed) with his foster's resident dogs. He was a little nervous, but he followed their lead.
Little Teddy is still shy with strangers (especially with men) and he should be considered a flight risk in a new environment. It'll be really important that his adopters take extra precautions until he's settled in -- the trappers who helped us advised that once a dog is live trapped, it is unlikely to work again. He does get comfort from the dogs in his foster home and follows their lead, so a home with confident dogs will be best.
