Meet Inky! The most love bug sweetie pie you could ever imagine. He's incredibly gentle, goofy, smart, and affectionate. He loves to be near you, but he's also been great left alone for periods in parts of the house, his crate, and even overnight in his crate. Not a single accident in the house. Inky loves going on walks and learning new things. Within just 2 days, he's learned sit, shake, stay, come, and kennel.
He's very easygoing day to day. He takes treats gently, plays nicely, and lets go of toys easily when asked. He falls asleep when you brush him. Sudden loud noises or new things can make him initially unsure (he just pauses and looks to me), but he recovers quickly after a quick reassurance. He's not scared of thunderstorms at all.
With our cat, he's been respectful and curious but careful, following his lead and staying calm and lying down when he comes over to check him out. He can easily shift his attention elsewhere instead of fixating on him. We haven't had the chance to see how he does with other dogs or kids ourselves yet, but his previous shelter noted he did well with both, and that lines up with what we've seen in him so far.
One more thing worth mentioning: one of his ears sits just a little more perched than the other, and he has these very expressive eyes that make you fall in love with him immediately. Inky is an absolute gem.
