Avalon - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Madison, Wisconsin

Avalon is 5-6 years old and 50ish pounds. This lovable girl lost her home in the south when her owner found themselves homeless. She is good with dogs, cats, and kids. Avalon would be happy in a home with another dog or in a home where she can soak up all the cuddles. So far she seems pretty low energy but has spunk while running/playing in the yard. Belly rubs and car rides are her love language. We are working on leash skills; she is excited and pulls. Avalon eats and takes treats with my dogs and has not shown any food aggression. Avalon has not had an accident in the house. Avalon is friendly to all and just adores affection. Watching a movie on a rainy day? Avalon is your girl because she loves to snuggle on the couch! She loves to chase tennis balls in the yard. Avalon has been free roaming in my home and has not shown destructive tendencies. She has been sleeping on the couch but I'm sure she would love to snuggle next to her human at night! Avalon is just a sweetheart and she is looking for her forever home. Are you ready to meet your best friend?!

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
