BEAR

Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Lowell, Massachusetts
April 19th
male, large, adult

DESCRIPTION

Meet Bear—yes, that Bear. The 110-pound, oversized, cuddle-certified, heart-melting kind. The kind of Bear that doesn’t hibernate... he just burrows directly into your personal space and insists on being your emotional support weighted blanket.
At 5 years old, Bear is the perfect blend of maturity and affection. He’s past the chaotic puppy phase and has fully leaned into his true calling: loving his people with his entire giant self. Whether he’s leaning into you for pets, following you around like your very own fluffy shadow, or plopping down for a snuggle session, Bear is all about his humans.
Breed-wise? Your guess is as good as ours—Rottie? Golden? Pyrenees? A little bit of everything? Honestly, we’d love to see a DNA test on this guy because he’s serving up "mystery mix masterpiece" in the best way possible. What we do know is that his longer coat will need weekly brushing and some seasonal grooming to keep him looking (and feeling) his best.
Bear did come in with another large dog and did well with her, but he can be a bit dog selective and may get slightly defensive if another dog comes in hot with big feelings. He’s not looking for drama—just respectful introductions and good vibes. Because of that, a dog-savvy home would be ideal, especially with older, respectful kids who understand how to interact with a big boy like him. We’re unsure how he’d do with cats or small animals, so a home without them may be the safest bet.
If you’ve been searching for a loyal, loving, larger-than-life companion who just wants to be your best friend (and maybe sit on your feet... or lap... or both), Bear is ready to lumber his way right into your heart.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
