DESCRIPTION
Thank you animal advocates, ground transports, pilots and shelter staff for helping Jenny and getting her to us. Reading the shelter notes, we were especially impressed with the animal control officers above and beyond efforts to get Jenny safe when she was injured and abandoned.
This adorable, little girl was found as a stray with a rear leg injury. Nobody came for her and she was scheduled for euthanasia in a crowded shelter. We are so thankful to have her safe with us, but honestly, we would rather a dog was humanely euthanized at a shelter, than left to die a miserable death alone on the streets.
Jenny is maybe a year old and looks a bit like little Border Collie, but weighs just 15 pounds, so who knows what she really is. She's a sweet, little girl who doesn't know much, but she's ready to learn. She has a veterinary appointment right away to get her leg checked out and well get her all fixed up. Available soon.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
