Shadow - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Lansing, Michigan
SHADOW
Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Lansing, Michigan
June 24th
female, large, adult
DESCRIPTION
Meet Shadow! She is a 1-year-old sweet medium-sized girl, weighing around 50 pounds, who's ready to find a loving home to call her own. Shadow came to us from a shelter in Tennessee, and she's been patiently waiting since May 16th, 2026 for her chance at a fresh start.
Shadow has found the shelter environment a bit overwhelming, and she is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who will give her the time she needs to feel safe, comfortable, and confident as she settles into a new home. With kindness and consistency, she is sure to continue coming out of her shell.
She may do best in a home with older children if there are any, and we would like all children and family members to meet her prior to adoption to ensure a good fit. Shadow could also do well in a home with another dog, provided introductions are done gradually and thoughtfully.
Shadow is a gentle girl who is ready to begin her next chapter with a caring family. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you're interested in meeting Shadow or learning more, please reach out to an adoption counselor by phone at (517) 626-6060 or email at adoptions@adoptlansing.org.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
