MADISEN - FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT NEEDED
Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Huntingtown, Maryland

female, medium, young
DESCRIPTION
Madisen is a small black mixed-breed female, approximately 2 years old and 28 lbs. She is spayed, heartworm negative after completing treatment, and currently on heartworm prevention. She is up to date on vaccines and is ready for her next chapter.
Madisen is very sweet, gentle, and loving. She is friendly with both people and other dogs and enjoys the company of canine friends, including playing and spending time with them. Her interaction with cats is unknown at this time.
Despite her sweet nature, Madisen has had a very difficult start to life. She became pregnant during her first heat and had six puppies. When her puppies were only about 3 weeks old, she and her little family were abandoned along a highway. She cared for her puppies through this hardship, and they have since been adopted. Madisen was later taken in after being placed at a high-intake shelter where her future was uncertain. She was saved by a Good Samaritan, but she is still in need of a stable foster or foster-to-adopt home.
Madisen is now looking for a home where she can finally be the one cared for and loved. She would thrive in a calm, safe environment where she can decompress and continue building trust. She is a smaller-sized companion who would fit well into many homes.
Puppy Paws Rescue will provide food, supplies, and all veterinary care for her foster or foster-to-adopt placement. What Madisen needs most is a committed foster or adopter willing to give her the stability and love she has never truly had.
After everything she has been through, Madisen deserves a chance to simply be a dog in a safe, loving home.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
Puppy Paws Rescue was created in March 2013.
