Shelter Assessment:
Kenya is very friendly dog
Kenya aged at 1.5 years is easy to leash and walk excitedly with some pulling, she greets you at the door and is ready to go wherever you want to go. She is a super friendly love bug who just wants to be up against you at all times. She can be a little much with affection as she will jump up on you and scratch you if you aren't expecting it. She is more than ok with you petting her all over and holding her on your lap like a baby.
Kenya knows sit, shake, and sit pretty but can be picky with her treats but took them gently, she showed no interest in toys and just wanted to sit in our laps. If she gets to licking you she may flea/cobb you, she is a stage 5 clinger and wants to be on you at all times!
Dog Meet and Greet Required
Kenya is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). Breed listings: Please note that Animal Friends recognizes current research showing that the large majority of breed guesses on shelter dogs are inaccurate and that only a small percentage of an animals genetics make up their physical appearance. People visiting the shelter in person or viewing animals on our website will note that all of our dogs are labeled as Mixed Breeds unless they have been DNA tested or are surrendered to the shelter with paperwork. Any potential breeds listed here on PetFinder are not assumed to be accurate and are merely a starting point for people to be able to search for a dog who may visually resemble a breed they are interested in. We feel that the best matches are made based on a dogs individual personality and recommend families come meet our animals in person. Please reach out with any questions!
