Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in Fairfax, Virginia
LUNA ESTRELLA
Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Fairfax, Virginia
May 14th
female, large, adult
DESCRIPTION
Luna Estrella is a gentle, sensitive girl who arrived at the shelter a little unsure of her surroundings. She may be shy at first, but with patience and space, she’ll slowly approach with soft tail wags and a sweet, affectionate nature. She walks nicely on leash, knows "sit," and allows full-body handling. Luna isn’t very interested in toys, but she enjoys calm companionship and sitting close to her people. In dog interactions, she prefers calmer companions and will quietly disengage from overly energetic dogs. Luna Estrella is a soft-hearted, steady girl who just needs a gentle, understanding home where she can feel safe and loved.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
