Porp A185494
30 lb. spayed female, approx 7 months old
-Timid gal, but oh so very sweet!
-In the beginning she would take treats and spit them out but as she became more comfortable she started to go back and eat them
-She enjoys being close for pets but it takes her a while to feel comfortable enough to stay put for any length of time
-After a while she relaxed enough and started leaning in for pets
-She then found a couple toys and started playing! She'll be fine once she's out of this scary place!
-She's gaining more confidence walking on leash as each day goes by!
-Will need some puppy training. Please keep that in mind if you want a puppy. They require time and patience to be the best that they can be!
-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros
Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids
*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt
*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.
*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.
*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.
*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.
**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**
*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30
