Dune A184078
50 lb. neutered male, approx 1 year old
-This boy is searching for a connection and companionship! He wants to be loved so badly!
-Sometimes it's hard for him to contain his excitement and he jumps up to be close. (Hugs) We are working daily with him to help him learn all his manners and show you what a polite boy he can be if given a shot!
-Treats help him focus. He is food motivated and quickly learning "four on the floor" gets him the yummy treats!
-He's still a work in progress but proving to be very smart! If you want to add Dune to your family you must be willing to put in the time and effort he so desperately wants and needs!
-He is super playful and loves toys of all kinds. He awkwardly chases them around and sometimes brings them back for more!
-He is a lap dog above all else! He loves people! He loves pets and belly rubs! He will repay you in appreciation kisses so be ready!
-This boy is still young and eager to learn! He just needs a family ready for a big, goofy lovable mush!
-He seems non reactive to other dogs and will most likely do well with a fur sibling. Because of his big personality and size, a dog similar in size and energy would suit him best!
*He has been spending a lot of time being spoiled as our office dog. He seems potty trained already....and when we couldn't take him out quick enough, he used a pee pad! 😀 He loves lounging on his bed or at your feet while you work. He loves a long lasting chew and can self entertain. He doesn't beg for food at lunch time....but he doesn't complain when you share! 😋 He's being such a good boy and we love him dearly!
Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids
*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt
*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.
*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.
*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.
*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.
**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**
*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30
