Meet Summit!

Summit’s road here wasn’t easy. He was found as a stray and ran out of time at animal control, and he carries a scar on his leg from what looks like a snare. The good news? It’s fully healed and pain-free, and it doesn’t slow him down one bit.

What we’re seeing now is a really sweet, playful, curious boy who’s starting to realize that life can be pretty good. And did we mention those super fun ears?!

Summit wants to engage with his people. He’s playful, interested in his surroundings, and already has basic training under his belt, a great foundation for his next family to build on.

* Does well with other dogs (so far, seems to do best with female dogs and may be selective with males)
* Cat testing available
* Playful & curious
* Continuing to build confidence and trust

What Summit needs most is a family willing to give him a solid home base: a safe place where he can settle in, build his confidence, and keep growing his skills. He doesn’t need perfection. He needs someone willing to give him the time and consistency to become the amazing dog we know he can be.

Summit may be the dad of our Adventure Litter. Meet Journey, Quest, Ranger, Scout, and Trek too!

Could Summit be your next adventure buddy?

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
