Meet Thea!

Thea’s days of being a mama are finally coming to an end.

This sweet 8-year-old Dachshund mix, weighing around 30 lbs, was rescued from a heartbreaking breeding and hoarding property with 65+ other dogs.

For much of her life, Thea’s job was to have litter after litter. But those days are OVER.

Thea is currently weaning her final litter and will be available for adoption in late October, after she is spayed and gets some much-deserved R&R.

Now it’s Thea’s turn.

No more litters.
No more breeding.
No more being overlooked.
Just a soft bed, gentle hands, yummy treats, and a family to call her own.

And through everything she’s been through, Thea is so very sweet.

She deserves to spend the rest of her life learning what it means to simply be a beloved family dog.

The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
