FRANKIE - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Chesterville, Ontario

Time to officially introduce Frankie! This little guy comes to us all the way from Manitoba where he was found sleeping in the parking lot of a police station with some older companions. Thankfully the police officer recognized that some of the dogs needed help and reached out to rescue. We have promised to give him a better life and know that he has a bright future ahead of him!
We don't know for certain exactly what breeds make up this handsome boy. He is around 4 months old and currently around 23 lbs. He is on the skinny side after living on his own but better nutrition and time will help with that. We feel he will fill out and end up being a large adult. We do not know anything about this parentage and have no other details to share about his breed so please don't ask! Whatever his DNA consists of, he is beautiful, sweet and so deserving. Frankie has had his first wellness check with the vet, fecal test, parasite prevention (Nexgard Spectra) and is microchipped. He is also up to date on vaccines (DAPP vaccine, Rabies).
He has settled nicely into a foster home - he is with experienced fosters and has begun to come out of his shell. Since entering foster care he has become a spunky, friendly, happy boy who enjoys his doggy friends. He has begun to realize that humans aren't so scary. He is currently working on potty training and catching on quickly. He can occasionally be vocal and we feel he is best suited for a detached house. He will be seeking a forever home where an adult is home more often than not.
Frankie is seeking a dog-experienced family and would do well with older, dog-savvy kids (6+) who are old enough to participate in training and setting boundaries.
We do not know his previous experience with dogs before arriving to us but he has been great with any he has met while in our care. He is currently living with dogs and cats and we are told he is doing very well. As with most puppies he would benefit from continued socialization with other friendly dogs...but no dog parks please! This goes for all of our available dogs - please google reasons why your dog should not attend a dog park. He had so much fun with our 8 month old puppy and would likely enjoy a friendly, well-balanced fur sibling. We also think puppy lessons (individual & then group classes) are a great way to train, bond with and help set up your new family member for success.
