OPEN THE MYSTERY BOX: MEET GRAHAM!
Ok, you know those mystery collectible boxes where you buy one without knowing exactly what you’re going to get? That’s Graham.
We know he’s approximately 2 months old.
We know he weighs about 3-4 pounds.
We know he’s absolutely precious.
And beyond that... well... your guess is as good as ours!
Graham is mostly black with a few adorable spotted markings on his front paws that make us wonder if there’s a little Heeler hiding in there somewhere. But he’s also tiny and petite enough that we’re wondering if a Heeler and a Chihuahua somehow got together and decided to create their own limited-edition puppy.
Even the puppy calculators are confused. Their best guesses put Graham’s adult weight anywhere from about 12–29 pounds.
Yep. That’s a pretty big mystery box.
So if you’re looking for a puppy who will definitely be exactly 15 pounds or 25 pounds when he grows up... Graham probably isn’t your guy. His adult size is simply something we cannot guarantee.
But what we CAN tell you is that this little mystery is pretty darn fantastic.
Playful AND cuddly
Loves people
Loves dogs (would like a small-ish dog friend)
Good with cats
Good with kids who understand he’s tiny
Great in his kennel
Sleeps through the night
Doing AMAZING with housetraining for a puppy with a teeny-tiny bladder
Graham already knows that when he goes outside, it’s time to get down to business. He promptly pees and poops outside, although he still needs frequent potty trips and has some accidents. Because... well... he’s a BABY.
Because Graham is so petite, his forever family needs to be comfortable living with a very tiny dog. No babies or toddlers, and kids should be old enough to understand that Graham is not a toy and could be seriously hurt by rough play or an accidental step.
He should never be left outside unsupervised, even in a fenced yard. And other dogs in his home should ideally be no bigger than about 30 pounds and be experienced interacting safely with small dogs. Graham LOVES to play with other dogs, so we want him to have canine friends who can enjoy that with him—but because he is so tiny, a larger dog could accidentally hurt him even while simply playing normally. (Graham currently lives with a large dog, but even with a very well-trained big dog, his foster family has to supervise carefully to make sure nobody accidentally steps on him or plays too roughly.)
His people also need to be comfortable with a puppy who is frequently RIGHT UNDERFOOT. His foster family has to be very conscious of where they're walking! (He is not a good fit for anyone unsteady on their feet or using walkers or wheelchairs, etc.)
Other than those size-related considerations, Graham is basically an open book... except for the part where we have absolutely no idea what breeds are in the book.
There’s only one way to find out.
