There Is a Rescue That Has a Dog, and Bingo Is His Name-O!
B-I-N-G-O! B-I-N-G-O! B-I-N-G-O! And Bingo is his name-O!
Meet Bingo! The 125-pound, almost-3-year-old Great Dane who is living proof that the best things in life come in BIG packages!
B is for BIG BOY! At 125 pounds, Bingo is not exactly a lap dog... but you can't tell him that!
I is for INCREDIBLY WELL-BEHAVED! This handsome gentleman has manners that would put some humans to shame. He's had training, knows his routine, and is an absolute dream in so many ways.
N is for NO BOUNDARIES! Okay, okay... we're talking about Bingo's enthusiasm for being wherever his people are! Going somewhere? Bingo's in. Running errands? Bingo's ready. Existing in another room without him? Highly questionable life choice.
G is for GOES EVERYWHERE YOU'LL TAKE HIM! He has adapted beautifully to his foster home and continues to amaze us with how well he handles new experiences, new people, kids, and other dogs.
O is for ONE EXTRAORDINARY DOG! And this is where Bingo's story gets a little more special.
It's not every day that a rescue dog comes to us with such a wonderful history. Bingo lived with his previous owner from puppyhood, and he was truly well cared for. His owner made sure he received his vaccinations, was neutered, and had the training and structure he needed to grow into the well-mannered boy he is today.
Unfortunately, life sometimes throws curveballs that are completely outside our control. Through no fault of his own, Bingo needed to find a new home.
We were fortunate to learn so much about Bingo's history, allowing us to maintain his routine as closely as possible. Even with a big change in his world, he has handled the transition to his foster home remarkably well! He went from a bachelor household to a busy family with kids and other dogs, and he's been impressing us every step of the way.
Housetrained!
Untested with cats but we think he'd be fine.
Now, let's talk about the one thing we're working on: sharing.
Bingo is still learning that he doesn't have to be an only child to be loved. He can be protective of his toys and his favorite person, so we're working with him on resource guarding and helping him feel comfortable sharing his space and belongings. He has not exhibited aggressive behavior, but this is something his future family will need to understand, manage responsibly, and continue working on with him.
And honestly? Can you blame the guy for needing a little adjustment time? He went from having all the toys and all the attention to suddenly having siblings! We're pretty sure more than a few human kids can relate. This isn't something to ignore, but with the right home, patience, and continued training, we're hopeful Bingo can keep making progress.
Bingo's dream home:
A family who understands Great Danes, appreciates their giant personalities, and knows that a dog this big comes with an equally big heart. His future family should be committed to continuing his training, respecting his resource-guarding triggers, and helping him succeed through thoughtful management and positive reinforcement.
Bingo has already shown us how adaptable, well-mannered, and special he is. Now he just needs someone willing to give him the next chapter he deserves.
Could your home be the place where Bingo finally gets his happily-ever-after?
B-I-N-G-O! B-I-N-G-O! B-I-N-G-O!
One giant boy. A whole lot of love. And a forever home waiting to sing his name!
