Scottie - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Canal Winchester, Ohio

Scottie is one cutie patootie! He's an energetic, curious guy who loves to explore the world around him. It seems he doesn't have much training experience so he'll benefit from reward-based training as he learns about basic manners and leash walking. As he settles in and bonds with his new family, we won't be surprised if he starts to show more of his true personality and blossom.
It was discovered during his initial medical exam at Gigi's that he is positive heartworm. Scottie is currently undergoing treatment for it. Should he be adopted before his treatment is complete, Gigi's will continue to cover the cost of his HW treatment provided he returns to Gigi's the the two required visits and injections needed. Dogs undergoing treatment can lead normal lives with some exercise restrictions in place. Once they have fully recovered, dogs go on to live normal, long lives, so don't let heartworm deter you from meeting an wonderful dog.

Scottie is a medium sized mixed breed dog, approximately 2 years young and currently weighs 30 pounds.
