May is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves to play, demand attention, and snuggle on the couch with you. She loves to play with toys and other dogs, as well as her people! She likes to give kisses, and she won't be shy asking for attention... if she wants to be pet, she will nuzzle her head underneath your arm to let you know it's time to give her some loving! Once she's had her fill, she will curl up next to you and snooze away, snores and all!
She had a few accidents in the house at first, but after an adjustment period she has been great. She is left to free roam during the day and sleeps in a separate room at night without any accidents. She is also starting to walk towards the door if she needs to go out. She goes out on the leash for walks in the yard and around the block and will do her business.
She walks fairly well on the leash, although she does have a bit of a prey drive and will want to go after rabbits/squirrels on walks, but with a little redirection she does well. She has also gotten a little excited around cats, but when she's had another dog to play with, she has ignored the cats.
Because of this, we think she would thrive in a home with another dog so she has someone to play with and someone to show her the ropes. She would do alright on her own too, but she would definitely love a playmate! She might do better in a home without cats, but could possibly get used to the right cat! She also LOVES to sniff outside looking for things, so she would do well in a home with a fence or safe area to run around in.
Overall, May is a super sweet girl and would make a great fit for the right home who could give her lots of love, attention, and playtime!

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
