KIARA - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Brazil, Indiana

KIARA is a 1 year old mixed breed taken in with 11 other dogs on 5/30/26. A few dogs had been abandoned in a field and had begun multiplying. Kiara, like the rest of the dogs she came in with, is sweet and gentle. It's taken time and patience for each of these dogs to learn to trust us and be able to "dog" normally. If any of these girls and boys can be called outgoing, of the adult females, she wins the prize! While Kiara continues to learn things like walking on lead, one thing that she doesn't need to learn is love and sweetness. Her heart is filled with both and she's learning that she can trust us and that it's okay to wiggle her butt, wag her tail and run up to you and give you a big lick on your face. That's what this pictures show - a girl who wants to do all of that, it just takes her a little bit to accept that those are ok behaviors. In case you're wondering, Kiara did come up to me and give me that big kiss. And once she did, she sat down as close as she could to me and wanted to be hugged and petted. Kiara's adoption fee is $150 and helps cover the cost of her spay, vaccinations, worming, monthly flea and heart worm preventive, microchip and care while at CCHS. At intake, she tested positive for both Lyme and heart worm diseases. Kiara has completed her Lyme disease treatment and is currently undergoing treatment for heart worm. Kiara gets along with other dogs and we feel it would be in her best interest to have a doggo friend to go home to.
