Polly is a one-year-old extraordinary young lady at a petite 18 lbs. She has a heart as big as her playful spirit. She is a true friend, offering unwavering loyalty and a curious, gentle nature. This is what her foster says about little Polly: Affectionate, lively and bold. She likes people and gets along with other dogs. She seems to understand social cues from other dogs when they don't want to play or share. She is extremely food motivated; however, she will snatch/grab food out of other dogs' mouths. She firmly believes that if she can reach it, it was meant for her. That includes food in your hands or on your plate. She eats separately from the other dogs because she WANTS TO EAT ALL THE FOOD.
Excellent sleep-on-the-human-bed dog.
No resource guarding (food, toys, space, chewies, bed, people) observed.
Rarely barks.
Likes toys, plays fetch with a ball (though not in an obsessed sort of way)
Zoomies like the Tasmanian Devil.
Enjoys and seeks out the company of people. Enjoys being petted and held.

Areas in need of improvement:
house training: makes it outside about 70% of the time. Enjoys sneak pooping on the rug but shows a tremendous amount of guilt and regret when asked about it.
Leash training: not something she is familiar with, but it is a work in progress. Overall, she is on her way to becoming the ideal fur companion!

Because she is a food snatcher, we will not adopt to families with young children.

She is vaccinated, will be microchipped and spayed on July 29th and will be ready to start her new life shortly after.
