If you’re looking for a dog who approaches every day like it’s the best day of his life, Cash is ready to apply for the job.
Cash is a ridiculously handsome little guy with a big personality packed into a compact frame. When something catches his attention, he gets the cutest puppy wrinkles between his ears, giving him a wonderfully inquisitive expression, as if he’s trying to solve life’s great mysteries. Add in his signature head tilt when he’s listening and his hilariously unique “sit” that looks more like a kangaroo squat with his feet splayed out, and it’s impossible not to smile when you’re around him.
Cash is a social butterfly through and through. He genuinely loves people and happily greets new friends wherever he goes. Cash also gets along beautifully with other dogs and has shown excellent social skills with dogs of all ages and personalities. Cash is just a playful goofball who brings fun and laughter into everyday life. Whether he’s exploring the backyard, investigating an interesting scent on a walk, or playing with his canine friends, Cash throws himself into everything with enthusiasm.
With a moderate energy level, Cash is happy to join you for neighbourhood strolls, trail adventures, yard playtime, or whatever else the day has in store. If you’re moving, he’s usually moving too, but he does have independent streak and is content to relax nearby once the excitement settles. He has this wonderful ability to match the rhythm of his people and he almost never barks. He understands quiet time very well!
In the home, Cash is generally quiet, crate trained, and comfortable being left alone for short periods. He walks well overall and continues to improve his leash manners as he learns not to pull when excitement gets the better of him. He loves food with an enthusiasm that deserves its own fan club, finishing meals at record speed before patiently waiting for the rest of the world to catch up. Despite his passion for snacks, he’s a polite boy who simply gets very excited when mealtime arrives.
He’s still learning some of the finer points of obedience and household manners, but what makes Cash special is how much he wants to please. He is eager, curious, and always trying his best. Like many young dogs, he can be exuberant, but his willingness to learn makes him a joy to work with. One thing to know is that he prefers keeping all four paws on the ground. Being picked up makes him wiggly, especially in unfamiliar or stressful situations, and he would much rather walk beside you than be carried.
Cash is looking for a family that will embrace his zest for life, continue helping him learn, and appreciate the wonderful mix of affection, independence, and fun he brings to the table.
