Meet Paris — A Sweet Girl Learning to Be a Dog!

Hi, Im Paris, a 5-year-old recovering breeder dog who is discovering how wonderful life can be.

So many things are new to me—soft beds, walks, car rides, affection, and having a yard to explore. Im still a little shy and learning to trust, but every day Im becoming more confident.

A few things about me:

I LOVE other dogs and would really benefit from a confident, happy dog companion who can show me that new things are safe and fun.

I LOVE exploring the yard—and Ive recently discovered that barking at the neighbors German Shepherd is pretty fun, too!

I even get along with my foster bird brother!
Im an excellent car rider Im doing well on walks.
I have a very good appetite!
Once I trust you, I love staying close and sleeping beside you.
I'm still learning my potty manners and need patience and consistency.

Im not looking for a perfect home—Im looking for a patient one. I just need someone who will give me time to learn that Im safe, loved, and finally allowed to just be a dog.

Maybe someday, I'll decide that my favorite place in the world is right beside you.

[NOTE: We are a rescue NOT a shelter, meaning WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY THAT OPENS TO THE PUBLIC. Typically, an application and home visit (both of which are required for adoption) MUST be completed, BEFORE a potential adopter will be introduced to one of our pets, in order to first determine that our basic adoption requirements are met, prior to introductions being made. We also utilize personal reference and vet checks (to ensure that any pets already in the potential adoptive home are current on vaccines, heart worm prevention and sterilized) in our adoption process, all of which is intended to ensure that the best match, between pet and people, is made. The adoption fee is based on on the dog's age.

Originally bred as water retrievers, these small but sturdy dogs excel in various dog sports and activities. They are adaptable to different living situations, making them ideal companions for both families and individuals. Miniature poodles require regular grooming to maintain their coat, and their playful nature and trainability make them a popular choice for obedience and agility competitions.
